Calvary Church was founded more than 40 years ago when a group of Christians began meeting in a home in Mohawk, Indiana. The current church property on Fortville Pike was purchased later, and a large dairy barn was converted to the present Bedford stone sanctuary. The education wing was added to the south end of the church several years later.

Calvary was part of the Church of the Bible Covenant for many years and the campus of Covenant Foundation College was adjacent to our church during its years of operation. Our pastors during that time included H.C. Emmert and Terry Going.

Calvary Church was associated with The Fellowship of Bible Churches, then in 2006 we became a member of the Heartland Conference of the Bible Methodist Connection of Churches.
